This was a sweet, sweet book. It didn't cheap out, but was honest about the fact that sometimes all the love in the world can't fix everything. There were, however, maybe some negative stereotypes about the Russian immigrant community, but I can't speak to the validity of any of the community she writes about. In fiction, it worked well for the story though.
