I read this book on the recommendation of my son. He's 9 so I'll forgive him. The storytelling was painful, dry and quite frankly, stale. I'm not a sci-fi guy, never have been. Apparently neither is the author. More than once I had to stop myself from tossing the thing in the trash. The only thing that kept me from doing so was that I was reading it on my iPad.

I'm upset now, not so much at the author for having written such a crappy story but at myself for having wasted my time reading such a crappy story.

Apparently there are sequels.

Why?
