I will be honest here and say that I became interested in The Walking Dead comics after seeing the tv series on AMC. And while the tv show is based on the comics, they are very different. I think it is amazing how attached you can get to characters in these types of books and then the next thing you know they are zombie bait. As much as some of the deaths suck, it shows that no one is safe, which would see pretty realistic if this ever happened. My favorite thing about this is how it shows the change in people, not the zombies, but the survivors. Not everyone deals with things the same way, some people are able to remain relatively calm and others lose their mind (like Shane!).
