I think if you are in the mood for a light hearted read with a lot of laugh-out-loud moments, you'll enjoy this book. Evie, the protagonist, lives at the International Paranormal Containment Agreement (IPCA) headquarters and has the job of bagging and tagging supernatural beings on the loose in mainstream society. Then one day there is a break-in at IPCA, and Evie becomes fascinated with the intruder, a 17 year old shapeshifter boy.

Evie's character is a lot of fun and I love the author's take on all things supernatural from the mermaid best friend, corpse-like vampires to the manipulative faes. Like all good paranormal stories, there is a mystery to be solve, troublesome villains, a blooming romance and Evie's journey of self-discovery of what she is and where she fits in the grand scheme of things. I can't wait to read the rest of the trilogy.
