Really liked this book! Based in the Victorian era, it follows the story of Phoebe who has an exotic aunt and a puritanical mother. The Somnambulist is the Millais painting hanging in Phoebe's mother's house-but what is it doing there? Surely it is just a copy of that illustrious painting? Well, no, we find out that this is the real painting and the story of how it has reached that house weaves its way through the book. With many twists and turns and a surprising occurance near the end of the book, this is a page turner. If you like Victorian fiction, you will like this.
