Legendary radio talk show host John Nebel marries professional former fashion model and lifestyle guru Candy Jones. On their honeymoon, he tries to use hypnotism to cure her insomnia and discovers she has a submerged personality that had been trained by the CIA to go on top secret super spy missions. And this second persona, Arlene, hates his guts. You know, that old thing. I can't believe HBO hasn't turned this into a series yet. Part of me thinks "no way did this really happen," but the CIA has done so many other things that are so totally apeshit that I can see them brainwashing an aging fashion model for espionage purposes. Despite the completely bananas story, the writing is pretty dry and crusty.
