I don't know what Mamet's thing is. He wants to push you up against a wall and scream into your face. Instead he wrote a book, but I still get the same feeling. He appears to be of the opinion that his way is the only way and that if you don't agree with him you are a moron. There is some insight buried underneath his one dimensional tirade, but it isn't worth the digging.
