I kept this graphic novel around the house for years and reread it every now and again to see if it would grow on me and to see if my attitude toward it would change. It never did. I finally sold it to a used book store for practically nothing just to get it away from me.

Why did I buy it? The manager of the store recommended it. Also, I bought it because Grant Morrison wrote it. Why do I hate it so much? It brings the reader to too many places I don't want to be.

Why keep it for so long? Because it has dense story telling. There is so much there that it was possible that if I read it enough times I would absorb something that would justify the parts I didn't like. Also, the graphics are perfect. This is a sophisticated piece of work in its story telling and graphics. But, it isn't for me. And I'll bet its not for a whole lot of other people, as well.
