This is a great book to read with young children that can teach them many things. You can tie this book into nutrition, independence, and most importantly rhyming. This book can also be used relating to weather. The illustrations in the book are bright and self explanitory. It is a book that children can relate to.

Learning activity:

We will discuss all the things Jesse bear wears throughout the day. In small groups we will make a weather spin wheel, sunny, rainy, cold, windy etc. I will also have a bear stensil and various clothes cut-outs. I will have each child take a turn spinning the weather spin wheel and whatever weather the arrow lands on, I will have the children choose and dress jesse bear for that particular weather.
