This is very much a first novel full of weird and out there stream of thoughts. First person narrative of young adult named Brigitte lost inside her head, living in the middle of nowhere in a middle class French Canadian family. Well, not exactly nowhere because I know these places, I live near these places. It's a book on alienation, teen alienation and how you cope and grow up or don't cope and end up apart from the 'normal' world. The book has some wonderful quirky phrases, but overall it's a bit over the top for me but I'll take a look at his second novel.
