Lauren Harris This was one of the first things I bought and listened to from audible. Unfortunately, I had some background on this book and couldn't really divorce it from the reported Harry Potter Ginny/Draco origin, but I did have fun listening to it. The Fabulous Grand Mage is probably my favorite part.

The story was fun, and well-suited to a younger-mid YA audience, and definitely meets the entertainment quota. I can see myself having enjoyed the heck out of this at 15.

I liked the fusion of mundane and magical worlds, though I was hoping to get some kind of set out parameter. Everything ever imagined seemed to exist in this world, which is fine...but not as challenging as a narrower world would be. But it doesn't have to be challenging to stay fun, and this world is definitely that.

I was very intrigued by the underground area, and if nothing else, am sold on the next one to find out what the heck is going on with THAT...because the mouthless dudes are totes creepy.
