Read in October, 2002

This modern, sophisticated look at the politics, immoralities, and manipulations involved in getting the coveted and all-to-few jobs in academia may ring true in this dog-eat-dog economy where Ph.D.s are flipping burgers and selling shoes. It's all a little too bewildering and corrupt for me, however--even as one who is currently caught up in the melee. Not recommended except for those who might like a bold and bizarre look at the war zone that American academia has become.
