Our daughter LOVED these books growing up ... she loved the rhyming way that the author tells these stories. I first read them to her as read alouds before she could read well and she would love to repeat the opening lines before I would have a chance to say them ... "In an old house in Paris all covered with vines lived twelve little girls in two straight lines. In two straight lines they broke their bread and brushed their teeth and went to bed ..." !!
