Post-apocalyptic thriller that starts in an unnamed city that seems familiar even if it is not. White Horse is a virus sweeping the earth and killing off all subject to it's threat. Some are mutated, and some are immune, and all are thrown into a new world where chaos reigns, but humanity survives. Courage and compassion shine through the death and destruction of the narrative. Interesting time shifts that are confusing at first, until you realize that the shifts are pre- and post apocalypse.

Alex Adams is a new author for me, happily landing in Portland, Oregon after living in Greece and Australia. Thanks Simon and Schuster for the advance reader's copy. I look forward to reading the all of Alex Adams' works, especially the next work in the White Horse trilogy.
