I really, really like Harlan Coben's books, but for some reasons I have just avoided the Myron Bolitar books. The whole idea of a sports mystery just seems a little silly to me.

I read the first one a few years ago, and quickly read my way through the rest of Coben's books. I loved each one, and since there are none left, I guess it is time to give Myron a shot, (especially since I landed this copy for free!)((This happens frequently in my life)).

I jammed through this in two days.
The characters are good. They're a nice blend of serious and whimiscal. I think the concept of a sports agent detective is a little silly, but it at least makes for an interesting read.

Ultimately, I really liked this book. It was a nice, fun, relaxing mystery in the midst of these epic sci-fi and fantasy books I've been working through of late.

I don't think this is anywhere near as good as his stand alone novels, but it is a pretty solid treat, and a wonderful way to kick off my spring break!
