Oh guys, how you tricked me! I thought Miss Brodie was one of those teachers that inspire, you know, John Keating-like, who's my all time favourite teacher and thinking back to my school years, I would have killed for a teacher like him. And Miss Brodie, oh, Miss Brodie I sort of couldn't stand from the very beginning. But I admit it was my mistake and not the author's, no writer is compelled to create characters people are going to like. Why would they?
So she's proud, individualistic, verbally abusive, self deluded and manipulative with a touch of fascism. Wait! That sounds kind of cool after all. But still, I wish I had a teacher like Miss Whatshername, who taught science and told the kids I have enough gunpowder in this jar to blow up this school. That a woman!
