Thoroughly enjoyable and extremely chilly tale set in the Edwardian period. When Grace Farringdon, obsessed with Shackleton, forms a women's mountaineering club a series of events takes place which not only cause tragedy and scandal but also make us reassess the reliability of Grace as our narrator. Moving backwards and forwards through time, it's not just on the mountain where nights are cold.
