Intriguing mystery based on a premise I could see happening - someone has fixed the lottery. Loved the characters, especially LuAnn and Charlie. Many authors don't put as much work into characterization as the do plot, but Baldacci did in this case. When LuAnn is approached by Jackson offering her a chance of a lifetime, she is skeptical. No one can fix the lottery, right? But Jackson claims he can make her rich if she just trusts him. At first she tells him no. Anything that is too good to be true, is, right? And at the very least it must be illegal? But when the 20 year old single mother finds herself in a dangerous situation, she decides to take him up on it. What will be the cost of selling out to Jackson? Non-stop adventure and mystery as LuAnn tries to stay one step ahead of her benefactor and the law.
