it was amazing

I fell in love with Delillo's "White Noise" and then fell into disappointment with "Great Jones Street" and "Americana." It was a long time since I picked up a Delillo book but I was glad that it was "Libra", Delillo's haunting fictionalized account of the life of Lee Harvey Oswald. As something of a buff of the Kennedy murder, I have always been fascinated by the conspiracies that have taken root since that fateful November day in Dallas. Delillo paints a great, tragic picture of Oswald and makes his life sympathetic, his death necessary, and his role in Kennedy's death questionable. This is a great work of fiction that probes serious historical questions even while it may answer some of them.
