I finally read this popular story about the snarky Greg Heffley. Written as part daily journal (although not a diary because that would be uncool) and part sketch-book, we are introduced to the self-absorbed narrator who is navigating the social scene of Middle School. Greg is both annoying and funny, smart and dense. He is a terrible friend, mischevious son, dubious student, and hated brother. So why is this book so popular? Maybe because it rings true.
