This book had me from the beginning. It started out with action, and kept me intrigued the entire time. It was an easy read, but the story line was a bit intricate. It took me a second to figure out what was the main point of the story but once I did it made so much sense. I was able to relate to this book because of the struggle it takes to be successful. While I have never grown up in any of these conditions of that neighborhood and gone through the the hard times, I have always tried to keep my nose clean like the people in that neighborhood. In my eyes, Young African Americans like the kids in this book and like I are misunderstood. We all want to make it, but it's about how we get there.
