really liked it
bookshelves: fantasy, fiction

well, dani definitely was just about as annoying as i figured she would be. however, fortunately, the three male leads were entertaining and interesting. i kept feeling rather annoyed that dani was only 14, and therefore knew that the "romantic" aspect would be rather pathetic. there were SO many times i wanted a scene to turn that direction and then had to remind myself that the girl is a little pre-pubescent girl. gah. lame.

it is also a little sick that so many grown men are obsessed with this annoying 14 year old girl. other than the added blast of looks from the grey woman, she is so FECKIN' annoying, i don't understand it.

now, the MEN on the other hand are rather yummy in their bad-boyness that moning sure has a way of creating. a great amount of complexity with a strong blast of naughty. it was quite a shame not to have any of all that testosterone and flirting come to any fruition. AND, on that note, good LORD dani is sooooooo naive!!! it was really rather annoying at how many times she just 'couldn't understand' what they were talking about when it involved any sort of innuendo. for being so "mature" (ha!) for her fast lived life, she is sure dumb in that way. but i get it. okay.

overall, i actually really liked it. another great story and development throughout. very much looking forward to the next books. and i am super curious as to where moning will take dani and whichever love interest she goes for. my evil little mind wants her to have a little taste of each. :)
