it was ok
bookshelves: fiction, mystery, young-adult
Read from March 01 to 06, 2012 — I own a copy

Sally's ordeal felt like my own as I waded through the interminable set up. The relentless parade of calamities became distracting once the basic story was established (which was early on), and depended more on clueless, puffed up dingbats than the "mastermind" supposedly behind it all.

Unfortunately, the denouement was rather obvious and too long in coming. Except for the underground river. That was definitely non-obvious (bordering on nonsensical).

Disappointed, and mostly happy it's over. Should I continue with the last installment?
