I visited Cairo and also the UK , so I thought Id love this book. I never got to finish it even thought the storyline is good I couldn't get into it, maybe one day I'll finish it, but for now Im letting it rest..

K Personally, I thought this book was overrated and boring. I was surprised that it was a Booker finalist. I found the story contrived and difficult to get into, and I also felt that the author's agenda detracted from her writing. Life's short -- I think there are a lot of other books which are actually worth the effort of getting into. But if you do revisit it and find that you like it, I'd love to hear why!
