So by the end of this, I *think* I understand what caused the global recession, or credit-crunch, or moneygeddon or whatever it's come to be called. But I'm not absolutely sure. And as someone who started the book not knowing what a derivative or a credit default swap is, I found it hard going in places. It might have helped if I'd realised there was a glossary at the back a little earlier. Tett does her best at making a byzantinely complex and, in all honesty, rather dull topic, make some kind of sense. Money's just makey-uppy in the end
