(I would actually give this three and a half stars.)

I received this book as a First Reads book.

The best part about this book was how Amanda didn't quickly forget about Andre. I liked how Amanda kept wishing from time to time that things could go back to the way they were; how she sexually craved her soon-to-be-ex-husband, how she wanted Max to have his father in his life, and how she wondering how she just couldn't see Andre's true colors.

Everything else in the book was a little more predictable, and the ending was a little too perfect for my taste.

I did, however, like how the book was a smooth ride. Everything-from the designer fashion, to the high-class treatment at the resort, to the cliche BBFL-type friendship with Stephanie, to the hot/sexy chemistry with Edward-were all blended well for a good chick-lit. The book was definitely enjoyable to read since I'm a sucker for chick-lits, but I can't say there was any thought-provoking or emotion-stirring parts in the novel to make it unique and unforgettable.
