I knew I believed in love at first sight when I came across Ivanhoe by Walter Scott by accident. La Dame Sans Merci makes a perfect cover for this novel which is about adventures, sword fights and a kiss. Furthermore this novel plays with the tales of Robin Hood and Prince John and that gives the reader a feeling of both familiar and foreign jumping into this book

It took me a long time to read this despite how much I happened to enjoy it. I suspect the reason therefore is the Gothic language which were heavy to read some times, and so this novel will not be every reader's cup of tea, but it might be if you are very into romantic medieval fiction about kissing and knights in the romantic way, of course!
