This is a good book for boys interested in World War II. It's about a group of Japanese-american soldiers and an experiment they participated in to determine if dogs can smell race. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but I liked the premise, though, the theme is sort of easy to surmise without doing a thorough read. Overall, it's a good book for middle schoolers.
