bookshelves: ece-3601, science-fiction-poetry, social-studies

The book, June 29, 1999 is about a little girl named Holly who conducts a science experiment that grows out of proportion. This book could be used for students in Kindergarten through third grade. Students could be introduced to the growth cycle of plants and vegetables with this book. They could also conduct their own experiment involving vegetables and their predictions on how long it takes for them to grow and how big they will grow. This book could also be used in a social studies lesson because it has accurate descriptions of some of the states.
