This is a wonderful book. I have read 'parenting' books (piecemeal usually) that have to do w/ babies, issues surrounding them, etc but this book is for the mother of a child of any age and about building a legacy and impacting a child's heart. It is awesome--it covers everything from being a 'gardener of the soul' to a creative spirit/force...just super inspiring, flecked with nuggets of wisdom. I will be reading Sally C's other books posthaste!

One thing to note is that this book is written for the Christian mother. It is heavily reliant on Scripture and the idea of showing your child the love of Christ THROUGH YOUR LOVE {contrasts nicely with the 'rod'/harsh parenting many people associate with Christians). So if a reader is not Christian it may be unhelpful or even awkward to read.
