really liked it

I think I've developed a low-grade clinical depression after reading Franzen's two books back to back. What is most disturbing is that years ago when I first tried to read The Corrections, I couldn't get through 100 pages, because I just didn't get it. Well, I guess I'm older and, for better or worse, wiser, and this time around I was totally immersed in the characters. Like Freedom, it seems (to me) oddly preoccupied with sex, but is otherwise much more broad, covering a ton of themes. A great novel.
