This is the most dangerous book I have ever read. The author frequently puts herself into the point of view of people she cannot stand (slave owners, racists, etc) and then shows exactly how wrong the underlying beliefs are.

I think it is great that the book was used to end slavery. It still scares me because I could see the book used today in crusades against "uppity" women (even though the author has some progressive ideas about women) and against anyone who is not an evangelical Christian.
