Really this could have been a lot funnier, but it was just stupid. None of the jokes have any thought put into them.. and really its just mean spirited. Dildo instead of bilbo..seriously i made the same joke in high school when i was kid.
Having aragorn be the lone ranger is so basic, these are like the simple easy jokes you are supposed to through away as too easy.
The hobbits are recast as basically goblins(sneaky little thieves) none of them are jolly or even likable. The parody names are just lame like frito, spam, moxie, and pepsi.. does that even seem like they tried? they dont even reflect the characters at all.

The only ones that were even remotely funny(and because they were actually lampooning the characters) was tom bombadil and goldberry called tim benzidrino and haightashberry. since i always felt tom was middle earths first true hippie this makes a lot of sense. but thats about it.

I mean they call the orcs Narcs, that doesnt really fly, while a narc is a bad thing they are also the agent of law.. not anarchy. Nozegoo for nazghul isnt funny its just lazy.

you would think guys from harvard might come up with something funny but you would be wrong.. maybe yale should have done this book
