really liked it

This book is well worth reading. It is a true life account of an adolescence in various volatile South American countries fraught with danger, indoctrination and teenage lust. One has to admire the extremes to which this family goes to for their homeland. Political resistance is obviously not for the faint of heart. It definitely peaked an interest in me for the languages and cultures of South America. I highly recommend this for a book club read - lots of good discussion potential!
