Love love love Joyce Carol Oates, but prefer her earlier stuff to this. This despite my love of the subject matter: American Tabloid Hell, a satirical take on the JonBenet Ramsey tragedy. Written from 6 year old skating sensation Bliss Rampike's surviving older brother's point of view, their dysfunctional family's secrets are chronicled.
