While I enjoyed this as a comedy, I think I missed a lot of the satire. I have no idea what the point was at the end of the story. I enjoyed how the author had me relating with people who live entirely in their own heads--people who bother me in real life. Like "Generation A," it seems to deal with the pleasures of solitude when we feel disconnected from the people around us. I wonder if, as technology has us spending more and more time at glowing rectangles, this will become a dominant theme in modern literature.
