really liked it

I really love this book. I could not put it down and I'm so sad that the end is finally here. I know I went through a full spectrum of feelings towards what was happing with Katniss, her family, Peeta, and the other tributes, and the story is so exciting that it was hard for me not to fall deep into what was going on. I wasn't bothered by the graphic descriptions of violence and otherwise, because I actually think that's part of what makes the story so remarkable, and I enjoy very bold writing, anyway.

I wish I could give this book 4.8 stars, because it was almost, almost, almost perfect. At times, Collins' writing got lazy, for example just telling things rather than explaining, or repeating boring or cliche phrases several noticeable times in the book. But, I like the way the story is woven, pushing and pulling my brain to think and to feel at once.

I can't wait to read Catching Fire, and that'll probably be one of my next books.
