I thought the book started much stronger than it finished. I even liked Ben in the beginning of the book. But as the story developed, I really came to resent Ben and found Willa a bit taxing as well.

Jane and Willa's relationship was by far the most believable and real of the book. I have a Jane in my life--but he's a Tom. And I would never steal his wife from him--not even if his wife had a crush on me since birth. But that's me.

I thought that the plot was developed quite well and it went along handily enough. But after the betrayal, I don't think Fox adequately revealed that this act, most likely, should have been written off an as mistake that only happened out of jealousy (Willa's) and an attack of past regrets (Ben's). If they would have kept their mouths shut, all would have been "just fine." And then we could have had a nice blow up toward the end where everything is revealed.

I am SO FRUSTRATED that I don't know what happened. Who is Jane's husband? Whose kid is that? Is Willa with Ben? Is Jane with Ben? Is Ben in the picture?

I read another review that asked for a sequel to follow whichever girl didn't end up witht the guy. I agree. But I hope neither ended up with the guy and the sequel is about Willa and Jane winding their way back to each other.

Kelly "I thought the book started much stronger than it finished"...that pretty much sums it up for me, too.
