This is an interesting take on Dracula legend. It covers all the bases I remembered from reading the original 30 years ago. Even then (in high school) I wondered how lucky Van Helsing was in giving Lucy three transfusions from three men and all of their blood types matched without testing.

Mr. Saberhagen's style is enjoyable to read, and I enjoyed it twice before, reading "The Holmes-Dracula File." Next I'll be reading another of his Holmes/Dracula crossovers I just discovered, "Seance for a Vampire."
