really liked it
bookshelves: historical, thrillers-mystery
Read in December, 2009

This was a quick read that really kept my interest. Even though I didn't really like any of the characters in the story, I was constantly finding out something new about each complex character as the story progressed. Their lives and often deceptive actions kept me totally engrossed. All of the characters had sordid secrets to hide and during the novel you weren't always sure what was truth and what was fiction. Very fascinating read that kept you guessing on the outcome up until the very end.
