Beautiful descriptive writing, I would give it 3.5-4 stars for the way it transported me to the South of France. A modern Gothic mystery inspired by the classic Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. Set in Les Genévries, a crumbling farmhouse in Provence and told from two points of view--Eve, recently married after a whirlwind courtship to Dom and having doubts and suspicions about her new husband, and Bénédicte, a French woman who grew up at Les Genévries.
