Suicide is a 117-page book of statements and opinions, in one long paragraph, that has a hypnotic effect over time. A reader veers from laughter at some of the remarks to puzzlement over apparent depressive or suicidal thoughts. We only hear the voice of the narrator. Some of what he says is simple and light-hearted, other remarks are complex, and many have to do with trivia. There are no other characters. It's quite likely that many would find this boring, but this is not a boring book. Stay with it, though. And imagine how you would sound talking to someone in a free-association manner.
