I really enjoyed this. A good clean writing style conveys the ordinary twisting around into the extraordinary with nary a slip.

I enjoy certain combinations of characters, and this includes one of my favourites for romances. The POV character is a 'regular guy' who fears he's living too small a life, and underestimates the attractiveness of his innate decency and strength. The love interest is someone intriguingly different, and the sort who might have anyone - but he's wise enough to know what he most needs and the rarity of it. I do love that sort of thing, and it's beautifully told here.

An excellent example of the genre!
