Alexis opens her eyes and finds some beautiful brown eyes looking at her. Connor has witnessed her faint and he tries to help her. From picking up her things he deduces she is pregnant. Thru talking he realizes she is all alone in the world. He helps the best he can and leaves her his card if she needs anything additionally.

Connor owns a ranch that due to a cattle epidemic in the region is banned from selling its beef. How is he going to keep the ranch going? He has a trust fund - but it will be a year until he is the age he can get his money. His grandmother reminds his there is a clause as to how he can get the money early - he would get the money when he is married.

Out of desperation he decides that Alexis and he could both benefit from this arrangement. Her child would be safe and she would have support during her pregnancy and he would get his money so he could take care of the ranch.

Both have a past that leads them to have issues with honestly revealing their feels - or believing in the hope that the other could grow to love them.

This is a Harlequin Romance - of course they will realize they love each other - but there will be some heartache along the way.

I downloaded this book for free from Harlequin.
