Like other books of this nature, the premise presented is a great one. Be a true follower of Jesus Christ, not just a fan. But also like so many other similar books, the content just does not follow through to live up to the premise. Idleman asks truthful and difficult questions but then tends to exaggerate for shock value's sake that you reading the book must be just a fan since you would never ever do something this radical. And it's a comfortable position for him to present too because he can simply shake off comments such as this as "not wanting to go all in".
However I do agree with most of the ideas presented and certainly the later chapters devoted to checking yourself for the things in our lives that we have prioritized above our faith.
