Here's another link -- to a review for Romance at Random where I suggest some additional books to read after reading The Proposal. http://www.romanceatrandom.com/book-r... Added 27-May-2012.
I wrote a review of this for the Heroes and Heartbreakers blog. Here's the first couple paragraphs -- a link follows. Terrific book, Balogh answers all our questions and what a pleasure to read about a couple of grown-ups who really talk and listen to each other.
"It is both a blessing and a curse to be a heroine whose story readers have yearned for lo these thirteen years. The Proposal, the first book in Mary Balogh’s new series, the Survivors’ Club, is the story of Gwendoline, Lady Muir, whom we first met in One Night For Love, which was published in 1999.
Gwen is a loving sister, daughter, cousin, aunt, friend, and all of Balogh’s readers have come to appreciate her.
Gwen is a widow with a permanent limp because of a riding accident that not only injured her severely, but also caused a miscarriage. Her husband died within the year, in what is described as “a tragic accident.” The blessing is that there is an enormous amount of pent-up curiosity about Gwen’s mysterious back-story." con't at Heroes & Hearts.

I did and it was wonderful. Just putting the finishing touches on my review. So, switching gears, I have another book -- a Mills and Boon -- when I review it, let me know if you'd like me to mail it to you in a couple weeks. jkw
Sorry for the delay in replying, I've been on vacation. I would love any book you send me, especially the Mills & Boon ones, as the U.S. versions of them won't be available until much, much later.
