    <body><![CDATA[Friedman seems to miss his own point with his &quot;flat earth theory&quot;, but the book is very insightful about the direction the world is headed in. If the world were truly as flat as he claims it is, then the inequities and imbalances we continue to live with would be a thing of the past. I guess a seesaw is flat, but it teetertotters back and forth--as our world does in the big historical picture.]]></body>
