A good story -- adventure, romance, intrigue, betrayal (this is starting to sound like my review for Sovay) -- but man, the page-to-page reading of it was difficult. Took me three weeks to get through it. I may like it better in retrospect ten years down the road than I do right now.

Corinne That book terrifies me. I saw it at my favorite discount bookstore and couldn't even bring myself to pick it up - it's SO HUGE!

Melissa It's not as big as The Count... and really, I suppose if you get the right translation (so I'm told), it's not that bad. And, yes, the retrospect thing is already starting to kick in... I'm telling people that I liked the story...

Corinne Okay. Maybe someday someone will have a challenge that will inspire me to pick it up :)
