This is definitely a summer, beach type of read and I chose to read it in February. I got it at target when I went to pick up the eleventh Sookie Stackhouse novel. (I guess I read some pretty non-thought provoking books this winter.)

The Summer of Us follows the story of Danielle, Gincy and Clare as they summer on the Vineyard. It's interesting, albeit the characters are quite stereotypical. The most interesting character development is Clare's, as she finally realizes something everyone around her practically screams in her face. I enjoyed it. I wish it could've had a bit more sustenance. It does start out very slowly, and then ended up being a pretty quick read.
