This is a pretty cool book and a nice Biography on Hunter S. Thompson. People who know nothing about who he was will enjoy it and people who are already Fans will love it too. I've enjoyed a lot of Biographies in my life but this one is very unique. It's more like a HUGE collection of snippets from his life, told by many different people who were present at the time. Like, his "School days" has mini-interviews with many of his school mates or family members. It gives you an interesting perspective and it's sort of a clever device. I guess, metaphorically, it's sort of like a patchwork quilt that many different people contribute too and I loved it. Plus, the book was very current ( or complete ), going all the way to his death and a little bit beyond.
